2 years 4 weeks

So I'm four weeks out from left side pocket revision and fat transfer to the upper pole and cleavage area. I'm really happy with the difference it made. Now they are way more symmetrical and the transition from flat chest to implant is softer and more gradual. The liposuction from my thighs and fat transfer was way more painful than I expected but now that it's been four weeks and things are settling, I am so happy with the results. I added one photo with and one photo without my temporary tattoos from nippletattoos.com.

1 year 9 months!

Well it's been 9 months since the left mastectomy. As you can see, the right is higher and tighter than the left so I'm getting ready for another surgery to tighten the pocket on the right side to make it match the left side better. The Dr is also going to do fat grafting to make a more gradual transition from collarbone to implant. The nipples are temporary tattoos from www.nippletattoo.com. (Which are really nice to have during the in between time). It's been a long journey but all in all I'm pretty happy with the result so far.

3 weeks post left mastectomy and right tissue expander to implant exchange

Three weeks has flown by! I'm feeling really good. Way less pain and discomfort this time so far. And it is true what they say, the exchange from tissue expander to silicone implant on the right has been an enormous relief. So much more comfortable!
The swelling has gone down on the right side so now it looks a little lumpy and bumpy and I'm a little worried that the scar is so jagged but hopefully it will straighten and flatten out.
The left mastectomy side started filling with fluid as soon as they removed the drain so it looks almost bigger than my implant side! Both the general surgeon and plastic surgeon want to leave it alone and say the fluid will reabsorb as they fill up the tissue expander. This happened with my right side too so I'm not worried. The plastic surgeon said he wants to expand the left side slower this time since we don't have to worry about radiation and he wants it to stay exactly where it is and not shift, so that it will match the right side when they do the implant swap. So far he has only put in 60 cc and nothing during surgery. All that fullness is fluid inside an empty bag of skin. Yuck.
The best news of all was that all the pathology results from the left mastectomy came back no abnormal cells, no DCIS, NO CANCER! I am so relieved and happy! I am cancer free!
This is a long drawn out process but so far I am thrilled with my new foob!
